Happy 100th Anniversary to the Winnie-the-Pooh Stories

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories by A.A, Milne.

It only seems fitting that White River and Winnie's Hometown Festival help celebrate in a HUGE way since White River is where the bear cub who inspired the stories originated.

Since 1987, White River has been celebrating the purchase of Winnie the Bear by Lt. Colebourn and in 2026 Winnie's Hometown Festival is also going to celebrate the October 14th release of the first Winnie-the-Pooh stories.

Please mark your calendar for the 3rd weekend in August, Thursday the 13th through Sunday the 16th for food, festivities and lots of fun!

Make sure to book your reservations soon as hotel accommodations are limited, but the fun won't be!

The countdown is on and the Festival is right around the corner.
